Littleton, Colorado lives up to its name in more ways than one: not only was it named after Richard Sullivan Little, but with a population of 41,737, it certainly is a little town. Little made his way here during the 1859 Pike's Peak Gold Rush to work on an irrigation system and by 1867 had built the Rough and Ready Flour Mill, which encouraged economic growth, and by 1890 the Town of Little had incorporated.

Littleton boasts more than 1,477 acres of parks and several hiking paths, such as Crabapple Trail where you’ll see colorful crabapple trees in the spring.
