The manager
The manager, Alex, was very helpful in explaining everything. It's very clean and well kept. Easy access into the parking lot and facility.
However, the day I moved items into storage I had to wait on a rolling cart. So the first trip we carried items into the elevator.
Also, the $1 deal for your first month's storage was only on select units and none of those were available. Shocking! In addition, you're forced to have insurance and conveniently you can buy it from them. Lots of gotchas!

I was greeted by a very enthusiastic gentleman who knew his stuff.
I was greeted by a gentleman with alot of enthusiasm and full of energy. He showed us the unit after taking alot of information to identify our need and for how much material we had to to store. I accepted the unit on the spot and signed the paperwork.Job done very well and customers are satisfied.

Very good experience
Very good experience, particularly because of Tyler, my first contact, and Tara who was wonderful in showing me the unit and explaining the specifics. Clean facility. Easy to get to. My only disappointment is that there's no light source in the unit, thus making the labels on boxes difficult to read.

Caitlyn was just simply outstanding in helping me downsize to a smaller locker
She worked with me on timing and reserving the best locker for my needs.
Stephanielee followed up on Caitlin's work. They both made the whole process of downsizing to a smaller locker as painless as possible
I live in a small apartment with little storage so I really rely on Public Storage.
I've stored my things here at the East Street location since 2005. A clean and super well run facility!

I vowed NEVER to get a storage unit but downsizing and selling our 5 bedroom house required it. Caitlyn was so helpful. She's personable and professional. The initial experience wasn't bad at all. I like the hours I can go there and it's very close to my home. Clean, safe, well lit and covenient.

Annie was a pleasure to do business with
I first visited the Westwood location to simply "view" the unit, but ended up signing on that same day thanks to the service I received from Annie. She resolved my company's concerns and helped to create solutions to ensure this was the right facility for me and my company. She continues to go above and beyond each visit! The facility is very clean and climate controlled. Also, my 5x10 unit is 10' wide (vs narrow & 10' deep), making it easier to user to use than a previous unit I had.

Hidden fees and never enough dollies for all of the customers
When I spoke with the salesperson and set up a time for my rental appointment on the phone, she mentioned nothing of requiring monthly insurance or the fact that I needed to have a lock on the door of the unit when I signed the paperwork. So, $19.99 for a padlock (of which I have an exact replica at home) and $11/mo for insurance, were two fees I wish I would have known about prior to arriving at my appointment to fill out paperwork. And the dolly issue...there seem to be only 3 flatbed dollies at this large facility. EVERYTIME I go to drop off boxes, I have to wait for folks using the dollies, EVERYTIME. And when I've tried to go into the office to request an additional dolly during business hours, the door is locked, which means the attendant is meeting with new customers and leasing additional units.

Wonderful Experience
My experience with Public Storage has been wonderful. The transaction to obtain the unit was flawless. It took very little time and they worked with me to help get me into a unit that was offering the $1 special. Instructions, times, codes, etc. were very thorough and the manager was extremely friendly and helpful. The pricing is competitive but a little more expensive than others. However, the customer service level and security are well worth the few extra dollars.
