Great manager, clean facility

Jay the manager was great. I had booked my reservation online but the system could not find it and Jay worked really had to help out and we finally got it figured out. So thanks Jay. The facility itself is clean and convenient due to opening at 6am. Although signage could be improved and the advertised size of the units is BS. They say approximately 5x9 it’s more like 5x8’3” so that is a liberal meaning of “approx”.

Conveniently located

Everything went smoothly when I moved into my storage unit. My only problem was with the elevator. When I put in my code, the door opened, but the elevator did not move. Fortunately, after several tries, Jay came out of an elevator and showed me what to do. That was my only problem and my belongings fit in the unit perfectly.

Great location and attractive price

Expected the facility to be the most expensive but it was the least. Great location and friendly staff. The bad: Entry keypads to open the gate are located far behind a post requiring you to get out of your vehicle to enter or exit the lot. Also, although the facility is accessible until 9 pm, they lock up the moving carts at 6 pm when the office closes. If you get there after 6 pm you might not find a cart unlocked to move your stuff.

Great place, needs more than one employee

A clean and pleasant place with affordable prices. I am very happy with my new storage unit. Unfortunately, they have only one employee staffing the facility and while they are busy doing their job on the inside, the rental office is locked up with no one to help and no one answering the phone. I waited outside for 30 minutes for someone to unlock the door and help me rent my unit. If they are going to post office hours, then someone should be in the office during those hours. Once inside, the customer service was good and Iﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢m satisfied with my experience.

Public Storage in Westlake Village!!!!

I phoned Public Storage and met the nicest couple who run the place so efficiently I explained my situation with storing my things in a large POD at the POD facility which was incredibly expensive! The gentleman who helped me made it seem so simple!! Moving my things into Public Storage was the best plan for me. Public Storage is impeccably clean, well lit, and most of all I felt safe and my items are safe I was able to fit my things into a nice indoor 10x10 temperature controlled spot! I have an APP with a remote that I got to download and I can get to my storage unit any time I want up to 9pm/7days a week.. this is a TOP NOTCH place to store my precious things! Very reasonable compared to POD and they have links to great movers and packers.. So relieved to be working with PUBLIC STORAGE

A lot of benefits, but one PROBLEM is the size of the unit. reserved a 6 x 9 Unit. Actually like 5 x 8.5. Security good, manager good, climate inside facility nice. LOCKED OUT- The unit still had a padlock on it when we arrived after hours!

The unit still had a padlock on it when we arrived. This was even after the guy on the phone said he would remove it. This makes two attempts to move in without success!! We had to rent the moving truck an extra day due to his incompetance! Very unhappy and this was after we already told them that the lock was on there from day before when we tried to move in!! Public Storage should give us a credit for the lost day, and pay for the extra day of having to rent the UHaul Truck plus the extra gas and mileage driving back and forth from the hotel to storage facility. All due to lack of customer service!! Unacceptable!!

Before even seeing the storage area, I was impressed by the excellent customer service. Jay was very patient and polite to a person in front of me who had many, many questions. When it was my turn he was friendly and efficient. The storage units are in a very secure building, and the inside was very clean. I would definitely recommend using this facility.

Climate Controlled, Awesome Staff, NEW Bldg.

I want to say that Charlotte, the rep who take care of me, was outstanding and went above and beyond the call of duty required by her job when she set me up with a storage unit. I got in on a sweet promo deal for $16 a month $15 mandatory insurance for a 5x5 on the second floor. They renovated the second and third floor and this is the CLEANEST building I've ever been to for storage. AC was running, sensor lights, multiple security points where you put your code in (almost enough to be irritating but I'd never trade it for anything else). Definitely going to be staying here for the next 6-8 months and then we'll reassess when the promo ends.

Jay and Charlotte are so helpful and professional.

When I arrived it was close to closing but Charlotte stayed late to answer my questions. Jay was already off work and came back to make sure I got in ok when my code did not work. He gave me a new gate code so I could access my storage. Jay also reassured me that I would be safe in this facility as it was getting dark and I was alone.

The overall move-in experience exceeded my expectations.

Jay was very kind, considerate friendly and helpful. He knows his job and executes is well. What was disappointing was that your online registration system would not allow me to set up an account so I had to do everything at the facility. There was a definite shortage of carts and a very long way to my unit. I understand that there will be a closer entrance in June. I hope that's the case.

Best experience ever - Jay ROCKS!!!!!❤️

Everyone at public storage was super nice and helpful. However, Jay went above and beyond his super capabilities. I misjudged the size needed for storage and Jay came through for me with the correct size, the right price and with his delightful, charming, professional and hilarious attitude. What a valuable asset UHAUL has in Jay - I could say more, but I think you get the idea - thank you for a terrific moving experience ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
